The Artist

Hello,

My name is Laura. I was not an artist who knew from a young age that this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. My love was science. Science involving biology, chemistry, and anatomy. This led me to my current career as a Medical Laboratory Scientist. It wasn’t until 2019 that I started really becoming interested in art. I was up one night, I am a third shift worker, and decided I was tired of only drawing sticker figures. YouTube presented many opportunities to develop my skills. As time passed, I grew interested in painting. Painting silenced all the noise in my head that constantly played throughout my entire time being awake. Picking up paint and a brush and creating a story on a blank canvas is a very calming experience. This is where I finally realized I would be an artist for the rest of my existence. This is a career I love cultivating into what I can say I will never retire from. I am always excited to see what skills and experiences each day will bring and the new friends I will make along the way. My goal is to create art that resonates with the buyer, creating memories that everyone can enjoy viewing in their home.
